Sports Event Lighting at Abierto Mexicano de Tenis Los Cabos 2026

Beyond the Tennis Court

Held from July 27 to August 1 in Cabo San Lucas, the 2026 Abierto Mexicano de Tenis Los Cabos brought world-class ATP tennis to one of Mexico’s most vibrant destinations. But the experience extended beyond the matches. Throughout the tournament, the venue also hosted activities such as Family Day and the after-dark Kids Nite, creating moments for families, young audiences and fans to experience the event in a more relaxed and entertaining way.

Lighting the Atmosphere Around the Action

Above the spectator stands along both long sides of the main court, SHARK PROFILE and SIRENA  were arranged alternately, creating a continuous lighting presence around the playing area. From the anticipation before a match to the energy that followed, and through the venue’s family and after-dark activities, the lighting helped the space shift naturally with the rhythm of the event.

Powered by a 1200W LED light engine, SHARK PROFILE combines BEAM, SPOT, WASH and PROFILE capabilities, offering the flexibility to shape and define the visual environment. Alongside it, SIRENA uses 48 × 15W RGBL LEDs to deliver rich, saturated color, with four individually controllable LED zones adding further flexibility to the surrounding atmosphere. Together, the two fixtures give the venue the visual versatility to move from the focused character of a sporting event to a more colorful, energetic and social atmosphere.

Extending the Experience Outdoors

The lighting solution continued beyond the court with PL1215 II deployed along the roads and circulation areas outside the venue. Powered by 12 × 15W RGBW LEDs, its 7°–55° zoom and IP66 protection combine flexible coverage with the durability required for outdoor event environments.

From professional tennis to family activities and after-dark entertainment, the 2026 Los Cabos Tennis Open brought different experiences together in one destination. LiGHT SKY lighting supported that versatility across the venue—helping create an environment that could evolve with the event, from the anticipation before the match to the energy after it, and from the spectator areas to the spaces beyond.
