On November 9, 2025, the 15th National Games of China — the country’s highest-level and largest national multi-sport event – officially opened at the Guangdong Olympic Sports Center Stadium. As one of the key lighting technology partners, LiGHT SKY illuminated this grand national celebration with its all-weather professional lighting solutions, transforming the venue into a breathtaking symphony of light, structure, and emotion.
The stage adopted a “concentric circle” design, where the inner ring formed the core performance zone while the outer layers extended toward the audience. This layout symbolized connection, unity, and the shared vitality of China’s Greater Bay Area, creating a visual and emotional dialogue through light. Hundreds of LiGHT SKY all-weather fixtures worked in harmony to shape both the beam structure and the overall color atmosphere, enabling seamless interaction between lighting design and the spatial rhythm of the opening ceremony.
At the heart of this spectacular show stood the WHALEBEAM, deployed across the outer ring of the stage. Known for its IP66-rated protection and 910,000 lux @10m ultra-high output, this waterproof moving beam delivered clean, powerful shafts of light that cut through the vast open-air space with precision. Its CMY infinite color-mixing system maintained clear layers of light and color even in motion, creating a dynamic yet cohesive visual rhythm that perfectly echoed the ceremony’s theme of unity and vitality.
Another highlight was the debut of the PIKE – IP66 Strobe Bar, LiGHT SKY’s latest innovation in 2025. Lightweight yet powerful, the PIKE units were strategically installed on the third tier of the audience stands to form an ambient lighting ring. Supporting independent RGB and white-light zone control, the PIKE combined smooth dimming and rhythmic strobe effects to produce immersive visual waves that resonated with the crowd’s energy and music. Its even RGB color blending and vivid layering enhanced the depth and emotional dimension of the entire performance.
